| Annotation | The research that was carried out by NGO Hestia focused on problems of volunteering and programs of volunteering. Main objective of this research is on one hand to define roles of mentors and their different approaches to children and youth, and on the other hand to find out whether these different approaches have an effect on quality of the mentorship. Complex analysis of problems of volunteering was based on twenty individual in-depth interviews with volunteers. At the basis of this analysis, report comes up with a description of the present state of volunteering in the Czech republic, in particular mentoring i.e. education of young volunteers under the direction of adult, experienced leader. A concrete result of the research is a typology of volunteering relations and mentor´s approaches to children. |
